Our tips for enjoying your outdoor living room
Climbing plants are ideal for greening up your gazebo or pergola. In spring, you can grow honeysuckle cuttings and sow wild vines or vetch, for example. Climbing roses are always beautiful and will enhance your garden as well as your arbour, gazebo, pergola or rose arch.
As soon as the snow has melted and the temperature rises above zero, you can start gardening. This is usually the case from March onwards. The essential gardening tools you need to have on hand are a spade and a rake for turning and aerating the soil. You won’t have to worry about any temperature drops in April or May. Be sure to follow the planting and sowing periods for different plants. Our article ‘Spring in the Garden’ will give you some very useful tips.
Autumn is not only the season when you need to prepare your garden for winter, but also the ideal time to tidy up your garden. You will rake and remove dead leaves, tree branches blown down by the wind and fruit that has fallen from the trees. Plants that are not winter-hardy should be stored in a frost-free place, and all others should be protected from the cold and sub-zero temperatures.
