Our wrought iron garden pavilions are an opulent eye-catcher for your garden and a cosy place to sit and enjoy pleasant hours surrounded by greenery. Handcrafted from high-quality wrought iron, our garden pavilions can easily withstand wind and weather. This means you can enjoy them for years to come.

If you don’t want to build your own gazebo but would rather buy one, you will find some valuable tips here in our buying guide. These will help you decide which model best suits your personal wishes and needs and contain important information about the various gazebos available.

What types of garden gazebos are there?

When it comes to buying a garden arbour, numerous retailers and manufacturers compete for customers’ favour on the market. For the layman or inexperienced buyer, such an extensive range can easily lead to uncertainty. We would therefore like to explain the most important features of garden gazebos and provide you with important decision-making aids. This will make it easier for you to find a garden shed or garden pavilion that meets your requirements. Garden gazebos can be distinguished by the following features:

  • Shape
  • Size

Common shapes for garden gazebos

The range offered by various manufacturers and retailers includes round, oval, rectangular and square gazebos. However, pavilions with a hexagonal or octagonal floor plan are also quite common on the market. The shape you choose for your garden shed will depend on the combination of sizes available, your personal taste and how well it fits in with the existing architecture of your garden.

How big can your garden gazebo metal be?

The size of the gazebo plays an important role. The model you choose should not be so large that you feel cramped in your own garden. On the other hand, it is important to choose a model that offers enough space for the whole family and perhaps even your visitors to relax. First, choose a suitable location for your garden shed and measure it thoroughly. Then you can search the market for metal gazebos in the right size. Be sure to plan for sufficient open space around the garden pavilion. Since models ranging from approximately 2 to over 300 cm to 5 metres in diameter or edge length are common on the market, it should not be difficult to find an arbour of a suitable size.

Greater durability thanks to surface coating

While plastic gazebos are usually uncoated, aluminium models are usually anodised. A wrought iron or steel gazebo can be coated with paint or galvanised. A combination of these two processes is also possible and particularly useful. Wooden garden sheds used to be common, but they require regular maintenance to remain weather-resistant. Today, it is more commonly used for building garden saunas. Modern metal gazebos last much longer and require less maintenance than wooden garden structures. Last but not least, it is possible to leave an iron gazebo in its raw state so that a patina forms over time. Like the methods mentioned above, this protects the material from further corrosion. Stainless steel is also not usually coated. The various coatings also give you the option of adding colour to your garden arbour. Popular colours for gazebos and arbours include grey and anthracite. Metal gazebos offer a beautiful contrast to nature.

Roof open or closed?

For simple or rose gazebos that blend in with their natural surroundings, a roof is generally unnecessary. However, for those who want to spend their free time in the garden arbour even in bad weather, a roof structure is of course recommended. The following roof designs are available on the market:

  • Open roof
  • Removable shade sails, usually weather-resistant and waterproof
  • Closed with shingle or tile roofing
  • Closed with glass
  • Closed with transparent plastic (polycarbonate or acrylic glass)
The more time you spend in your garden gazebo, the more important it is to have a roof that protects you from the elements!

Customised accessories for your garden gazebo

Since you will want to customise your garden gazebo as much as possible, you should ensure that optional accessories are available or that you can equip it with suitable accessories. Unfortunately, this is not standard practice for all manufacturers and materials, such as wood, which can make subsequent customisation quite difficult.

Your new gazebo from ELEO

ELEO specialises in the manufacture of garden gazebo made from high-quality, solid wrought iron. Our garden pavilions are characterised by traditional craftsmanship and the use of robust solid materials, ensuring extreme durability and maximum user comfort.

Size and shape of your choice

ELEO always has the right gazebo for you and your family. Whether round or oval, we have the right layout to fit into your garden. Would you like a small gazebo, such as the Siena model? Or would you prefer a large luxury pavilion for the hotel park that can accommodate all your guests? ELEO offers a wide selection of different models, from antique to modern.

What material should be used for a metal gazebo?

Metal garden sheds and gazebos can be manufactured in a variety of ways and offer advantages over wooden garden sheds. They differ from each other in the type of metal used. Steel or iron, stainless steel or aluminium can be used. Each of these materials offers its own advantages. Aluminium, for example, is particularly light but less resilient, while stainless steel is extremely robust and weather-resistant but cannot usually be finished with customised surface coatings. A wrought iron or steel gazebo is also very stable, can be highly customised and can be given the necessary outdoor resistance through various coatings. In addition, a distinction must be made between tubular constructions and solid material. The former offer advantages in terms of easier handling, but are sometimes susceptible to deformation under high loads. Solid material, on the other hand, does not usually rust through or bend. Of course, it is correspondingly heavier. Although the price of a metal garden shed is higher than that of a wooden gazebo, the material is more weather-resistant and less susceptible to damage from the elements. A metal pavilion creates an oasis of calm in the garden that you can enjoy for many years to come.

What coating options are available for your garden gazebo?

An ELEO wrought iron gazebo always has a high-quality surface coating that protects your gazebo from corrosion and premature destruction by the elements. Depending on your taste, you can choose from galvanised gazebos, garden pavilions with a patina finish, and models with our innovative powder coating consisting of zinc and a colour coating applied over it.

Extensive range of accessories for greater individuality

ELEO not only stands out for the highest quality of its wrought iron gazebos. Our range of accessories is also impressive. For example, you can purchase the Edera and Rosa trellis designs, as well as Vite and Lily, to hang on your pavilion to make it easier to grow climbing plants. Or you can opt for a waterproof sun sail in a variety of colours, which also comes with matching curtains for your garden arbour. This also offers reliable UV protection, of course. We also offer decorative balls that can be mounted on the roof to give your garden shed an authentic Art Nouveau design.

Thanks to our accessories, your gazebo will not only be more comfortable, but also more personalised.

Accessories for your gazebo

Delivery and assembly of our gazebos

ELEO wrought iron gazebos are delivered to Germany, Switzerland, Austria and, upon request, to other European countries. With a little manual skill and our detailed assembly instructions in PDF format, you can easily assemble an ELEO iron gazebo yourself.

Individuality through perfect integration of your garden gazebo

Simply by using our accessories, you can turn your new iron gazebo into a truly unique piece. But you can make your pavilion even more individual by integrating it harmoniously and optimally into your garden using various design elements. Items such as outdoor kitchens are becoming increasingly popular and can be skilfully showcased in a garden pavilion, e.g. with a diameter of 300 cm. Other garden furniture can also be placed under a pavilion.

All ways lead to the metal garden gazebo

An excellent way to skilfully showcase your gazebo is to make it accessible via paths from different directions in the garden. This will make it the focal point of your personal green oasis. You can create such paths using decorative gravel or granite or basalt chippings, for example. However, stepping stones made of natural and artificial stone are also ideal for this purpose.

Use climbing and hanging plants

If, for example, you have chosen our Milano wrought iron gazebo, you can accentuate its appearance with the clever use of plants. With the help of the optional trellis, you can cover the sides of the pavilion with roses, clematis or simply ivy or wild vine. You can also hang hanging baskets from the roof struts of the arbour and fill them with geraniums or strawberries, for example. A garden arbour brings you closer to nature.

Securing the floor of the gazebo

If you want to place garden furniture in your arbour, it is particularly advisable to secure the floor. Whether you pour a concrete foundation, build a platform from decking boards or simply use paving stones or stepping stones is up to you and your personal preferences. However, especially when using slabs and stones, you should make sure to compact the ground beforehand to prevent the fixing from sinking. It is also possible to fix the ground with gravel or decorative chippings to match any garden paths you may have laid.
