Should a round metal gazebo be made of solid material or metal tubes?
A round metal garden gazebo is made either of metal tubes or, as in the case of ELEO, of solid material profiles. Both variants have their own advantages and disadvantages. Solid material or wrought iron is extremely sturdy. It offers maximum stability for your round pavilion and can even withstand strong winds and storms – especially if you anchor the pavilion securely in the ground or set it in concrete.
Round gazebos made of tubes are cheaper than models made of solid material. They are usually made of individual parts that are assembled using plug connections. This makes it much easier to assemble the gazebo. This is also because the thin walls of the tubes reduce the weight of the individual parts. However, simple tubes are not nearly as stable as a wrought iron gazebo. Such a garden pavilion must be additionally secured against wind loads and is not recommended for use as an all-season pavilion without restrictions. To be suitable as a party tent or marquee, a pavilion should be waterproof and made of robust material.
