Shade sail
The shade sail is made of 100% polyester. It offers a sun protection factor of 80 according to UV 801 and has an acrylate coating on both sides.
To ensure you can enjoy your shade sail for many years to come, we recommend following these care and installation instructions:
The installation of the shade sail depends on the model you have chosen.
For gazebos, regardless of their shape, start by attaching the sail at the top, on the central bar or hook of the dome.
For our round models, the solar sail is attached to the lower ring (the ring below the S-shaped decorations). The exception is our Verona model. Here, the sail is attached to the upper ring (above the S-shaped decorations). You can use cable ties (Colson collars) to first attach the sail in four places and thus tighten the sail further before securing it with string.
For square models, we provide elastic bands that you will start to attach to the four corners, before using the remaining elastic bands to tighten the sail.
Installing the shade sail on pergolas starts on the ground: slide the two fixing bars into the tabs provided for this purpose: one is fixed and the other is adjustable and closes with Velcro. Then screw the bars onto the pergola and finish by attaching the other Velcro strips to the middle of your pergola.
After the initial installation, we recommend that you re-tighten the shade sail at the fastening cord. Any excess weight caused by water accumulation on an untensioned shade sail may damage the seams.
Cleaning can be done by hand; we do not recommend machine washing. The lifespan of the shade sail varies depending on exposure and weather conditions. Any dirt on the shade sail, such as dead leaves, should be removed immediately to prevent deposits from accumulating and becoming ingrained.
We recommend removing the shade sail during the winter, drying it thoroughly and storing it in a dry place. The weight of snow can damage the shade sail.
Curtains
The curtains are supplied with curtain rods for installation. The size of the curtains and curtain rods depends on the gazebo you choose. You will receive curtains and curtain rods that are suitable for your ELEO round arbour. You will need 35 mm long screws to mount the curtain rods. The curtain rods are screwed into the lower flat iron arch using a spanner, and the curtains are threaded through the loops provided on the curtain rod.
Anchoring
In terms of fixings, we recommend screwing a threaded rod (length 1 m, diameter M8) into the floor at an angle for each upright. For loose soil, we recommend using the entire length of the rod. For stony soil, it is advisable to cut the rod in half. Threaded rods are available from DIY stores.
